What is Woodplastix?
Woodplastix is an OEM factory, which manufactures high-quality wood and fiberglass products, located in the city of Sombor, Serbia. Among other things, we produce wood panels and climbing volumes, as well as fiberglass macros and holds for Citywall, a leading climbing wall supplier in Europe and several other global brands.
Special attention is paid to making our manufacturing sustainable by using predominantly renewable resources and significant amounts of renewable energy. Our two main resources are wood and fiberglass, both highly energy-efficient and versatile. The renewability and low carbon footprint of wood, of which the bulk of our production consists, combined with the high durability of fiberglass, its resistance to corrosion, combustion and various extreme weather conditions, make for our factory’s relatively low environmental impact. In compliance with global sustainable development trends, we have shifted a portion of our energy consumption to solar by installing solar panels on our factory roof tops.
Constant innovation in our productive process, and rigorous quality testing of each product, ensure optimal balance between function and form. Digitalisation, automation and streamlining go hand in hand with highly skilled workers, determined to keep learning and self-improving. Our top-of-the-line products are created by this synergy.
Our history
Our company has decades of experience. Our factory was founded in 2001, under the name REGENERACIJA DOO. Our primary orientation towards foreign markets meant that our products have been of the highest quality since the begining.
In 2013, we changed our name to GRP CENTAR DOO. During this period, our main business activity was the production of glass-reinforced polyester (GRP), but we have already introduced wood processing and the production of climbing wall panels and volumes and began earning our reputation as a globally recognised OEM factory.
As our manufacturing focus shifted futher towards wood and our programme expanded to include products like furniture, we began manufacturing under the brand name WOOD PLASTIX, and are in the process of officially adopting this name for our factory.
Each new evolution came as a result of an increase in demand and was followed by expansion of venue, workforce and machine capacities, and further streamlining of our manufacturing process.
